Here you can check a live webcam from Gornergrat. Matterhorn is a famous peak in Europe, located on the border between Switzerland and Italy. Its elevation is 4478 meters above sea level. A convenient place to view Matterhorn is the peak called Gornergrat at 3126 meters.

You can reach Gornergrat through Zermatt. Getting there takes time because the route goes through the mountains: from Geneva it takes about 6.5 hours, from Zurich about 8 hours. A mountain train runs from Zermatt to Gornergrat, and with SwissPass you can buy the ticket for half price. You can build your route with the help of sbb.ch.

Later I found a description of this structure online. It turned out to be a hotel that generates 90% of the energy it uses by itself. They designed that hotel for six years.
