Montreux, Lausanne, Vevey and a cruise on Lake Geneva
Hello everyone. Today I want to tell you about a trip around the eastern part of Lake Geneva and the towns along its shore. The most beautiful towns in this part of the lake are Montreux, Lausanne and Vevey.
You can easily find descriptions of Lausanne's sights online. We visited the waterfront there and the Botanical Garden located in Milan Park. The park itself is not far from the lakefront, and in the middle there is a small hill whose top gives a beautiful view over the lake.
There are several interesting places along the Lausanne waterfront:

There is also the Olympic Museum on the Lausanne waterfront. When we were there it was closed for reconstruction, but by now it should already be open.
In Vevey we visited only the waterfront, but even there there were a few interesting places:
Montreux is where it makes sense to stay longer. From Montreux railway station a mountain train goes uphill, and with SwissPass you can ride for free as far as the village of Caux, located about 1 km above sea level. From there you get beautiful views of Lake Geneva:
Between Montreux and Caux there is the village of Glion. This photo was taken there:
Montreux also has the medieval Chillon Castle, and entry is free with SwissPass. You can spend hours wandering through its labyrinths; there are many museum rooms inside.
Ships also depart from Montreux, and they are free for SwissPass holders. The schedule can be checked on this website.
To find circular cruises along the shores of Lake Geneva that return to Montreux, choose the `SHEDULES` section, then the city `Montreux`, then the trip type `Non-stop circuit`, and specify the date. The schedule will show several types of cruises with different durations.
