Hello. Today I will tell you about a trip to the top of Mount Stanserhorn. This mountain, about 1850 meters high, offers beautiful views of the Swiss Alps and of the neighboring Mount Pilatus, about 2050 meters high, which is clearly visible from Lucerne. Another interesting thing about this place is the unusual lift: it is a two-level double-decker. During the ascent you can move between the first covered level and the second open-air level using a staircase. Here is the website of the lift, where there is also a webcam image. Before every trip into the mountains, you should study the weather forecast carefully so you do not end up in the clouds.

Here is another website with a short description of the lift and several videos.

Now let me explain how to reach the lift. You need the railway station `Stans`. After arriving there, you should walk to the Stans SthB mountain lift. I explained how to plan the route using the SBB mobile app or website in these two articles (1 2). The walk will take about 10 minutes. If I remember correctly, the round-trip ticket with SwissPass discount cost around 35 Swiss francs.
